It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life--

Wrong theme song, even though the theme certainly applies. It's a new day in Lorne's life. He quite enjoys dawn, thank you very much. He's found a new place to live - another penthouse in the middle of Youdon'tneedtoknow-ville. And recently, he's been indulging more and more in taking breathers at Milliways.

In short: good times all around.

And by predictable results, we mean two things, in consecutive (or damn near parallel) order: Andrew's a giggly darling, and Lorne's very close to folding himself in half from all the giggles.

It's been a very weird, very roller coaster-y thirty minutes-half an hour, but at least he doesn't feel like crying his heart out anymore.

[stilljustandrew]

"Okay," he says, trying to get the giggles under control, or at least clamber up on top of them for long enough to breathe. "Okay okay okay --"

He braces against the step with one hand, draws a deep breath, holds it, and lets it out slowly.

In his best Crinkly Old Man Voice: "Don't throw off his groooove!"

They'd better get going before either one of them starts howling. Read: Before Lorne starts howling.

Yeah, he's off again.

He chortles, attempting to stand on his own two feet and drag Andrew along for the ride. "Bewaaare the groove. Grooove."

[stilljustandrew]

By this time it's a little easier to fight down the laughter, at least enough to accept Lorne's hand and help drag himself to his feet.

"Okay," he says once they're both up and mostly balanced, "where to?"

"Somewhere good." 'Anywhere but here' would be too melodramatic.

"I don't know... What would you do on a day off?"

[stilljustandrew]

"Huh." He considers that. "Go see a movie, maybe?"

[nomorekaraoke]

Faintly hopeful and ever so slightly wide eyed: "Really?"

[stilljustandrew]

"Sure, why not?"

Andrew glances at him, eyebrows rising, starting to smile.

"Anything playing you've been interested in?"

[nomorekaraoke]

"Well," in return, Lorne ducks his head and shrugs. "If we're on a geek streak, and I think we are... I would love to see Dark Knight."

[stilljustandrew]

"You haven't seen it yet?"

His eyes widen.

"That's something we shall have to remedy."

[nomorekaraoke]

"Well, of course I haven't! You think I'd have the time for it with my schedule?" He teases, of course. "But, seriously. No."

[stilljustandrew]

"It's gotta still be playing somewhere around here," he says, grinning. "Lincoln Square?"

[nomorekaraoke]

"Yeah." The bounce seems to be returning to his step as he takes one, and a-two and a-three steps onward. "Let's shall, my good man."
